Why Dexecure
Welcome to our blog! Our very first blog post explains why we started Dexecure.
We love the web. It has become super simple for anyone to get a website. Sign up for a service like Squarespace or spin up an instance from AWS, drop in a Bootstrap template (no…not that one) and you almost have your very own place in cyberspace. And that’s great!
Now, while anyone can get up and running with a website, there are some aspects of running a website that aren’t as straight-forward, like speed. Having a fast website is crucial for a good user experience. Research has shown that 40% of users abandon a shopping website if it takes more than 3 seconds to load!
However, ensuring your website is fast is not as easy as it sounds (even big companies struggle with this). Browsers change every day; keeping your website up-to-date with the latest best practices can be a daunting task!
Our very first tool helps to tackle this very problem. Dexecure tracks all these changes and transforms your website into something that runs blazingly fast on all browsers at any given point of time. Think of it as an optimisation compiler for your entire website.
Developers can now focus on building cool stuff while we ensure that whatever they build is as fast as possible!
We feel that there is a lot of information hidden away in obscure blog posts and arcane commits of browsers. We wish to make this knowledge accessible to any developer so that their websites can benefit from them. Their websites can be made faster, more secure, achieve better compatibility…the possibilities are endless :D And this is what excites us!
Subscribe to our blog and we will get into greater depth on how web performance affects your business and some of the cool stuff that we do to speed up websites in future posts.
